Default Need Help! Reinstalled Slide without Takedown Lever

Ok, I made a bonehead move tonight. I had my M&P completely stripped to install a new sear block housing for my new Apex trigger/sear kit. Without thinking about it, I accidentally installed the slide back onto the frame without re-installing the Takedown lever. I left the frame pins out as well, just checking the trigger functionality.

Well... I can't get the slide back off now! I assume it is because the Takedown lever is not there. I have tried prying the slide with the sear block housing away from the frame, but it doesn't want to come out of the frame. If I slide the frame as far forward as I can, I can almost get clear line of sight to put in the takedown lever. However, I haven't had much luck getting it back installed with the slide there and tension from the guide rod spring.

I know...I'm an idiot. Stupid mistake. Does anyone who knows this pistol really well know what is binding that it won't release the slide from the frame? Is there anyway to get the takedown lever back installed with the slide on top? Seems when I try to get it in, the tension from the guide rod pushes it back out of alignment.

Any suggestions? I'll post a pic to see what I'm looking at.

Can you push your slide forward where its even then pull the trigger? Do you have a mag disconnect? If so then put a mag in and do the same then remove the mag .

If the cause of the issue is that you are unable to get the slide forward into battery so that you can pull the trigger for slide removal, then instead try the yellow sear deactivation lever. If you can't retract the slide enough to get to that lever thru the opening in the slide, then you can access it thru the magazine well using a paper clip bent to be a hooking device.

Default Thanks for comments

Well, I was able to get slide off. It was a combination of getting the slide into proper location and moving yellow sear disconnect and the slide came off.
Thanks for help.
