Anybody carrying a MP9c? What sights you running?
I sold my mp9c about a year ago (divorce) But I knew I wanted another one as soon as I was in a spot to get one because the gun carried well, and I shot it decently, so I bought another one yesterday and already being familiar with how I shot the last one I know of 2 things I wanted to get rid of. The regular sights and the trigger. Ive never messed with putting sights on any of the pistols ive owned as all the other carry weapons Ive had didnt need them or couldnt be replaced (J-frame) So now Im looking to do this with the 9c and am clueless on HOW to do it and WHAT I need to be looking at. Is this something that I need a gunsmith to do or is it pretty straight forward? And for those that have swapped theirs out, What are you running? Also, Thoughts on smoothing out the trigger? Is the Apex the only game in town for these guns? Thanks in advance

I bought an M&P 9mm Shield a week ago and had the sights changed before it left the store. I put Truglo sights on it (green) with the white outline on the front. At 7 yards can place all shots in one hole (the one hole drill) which I'm pretty sure I would be unable to do with the original factory sights. I have Trijicon on a Glock Gen2 with the Orange front, and actually like these sights better, but the store only had Truglo and didn't want to try to order for the Smith since I was going out of town for a couple of months and wanted the sight job done before I left. This is my new carry gun.

I carry a 9c. Just as it came from the factory. I must not be near as picky as some on here. I have total confidence in it with its factory trigger and sights.

I bought a 9c last October. I put Amarillo Hackathorn lime green front and solid black on the rear.
I left the trigger stock as the triggers are now better than the older M&P's were. For a carry gun I'd recommend putting several hundred rounds through it and dry firing a few thousand times before changing the trigger and opening yourself up to legal issues if you would ever need to fire it in self defense.

All but one of my M&Ps has gotten the Truglo TFO treatment. I find them to be the best average across ALL light conditions due to their unique Tritium and fiber optic combination.

Just my humble, non expert opinion, but my 9C is fine just like it came from the factory. It's a carry gun. If your looking for a 1" group at 40 or 50 feet, you should have bought a full size or target pistol. During the heat and adrenaline of a life threatening gun battle, I don't think I'll be feeling for the trigger break or looking for a green or red dot. I'll think I'll be breathing heavily and trying to get close to center mass. I hope I never find out.

I've got a big dot on my FS but I wouldn't do it again, so I just keep the stock on my compact. Trigger? I put the Apex kit in the FS but not in the compact. Just don't think it's worth it.

I carry a 9c ,love it. Put truglo on all my guys but left trigger alone it works great for me. I have tried G30s, Springfield XDs, and even M&P40c but always come back to 9c. the only thing that might come close to replacing my 9c is the Mod2 that gun is a solid back up when I want to carry something different

Me too. Haven't had a single issue qualifying for my ccw with it.

Put on a set of truglo fiber optic night sight yesterday and shot it today. Point of aim point of impact. I have done many sets of sights with no issues. You need to remember the sight goes left to right when taking them out. I won't polish out the trigger until I have 500 or so rounds down range.

That's what I'm running, fantastic four fast target acquisition. I usually use the XS Big Dot Sights but the version for the 9c does not have a tritium vial in the rear sight.

Talon Grips
XS Big Dot sights with Tritium insert in frontm sight.
Simple combo of parts that work well in concert with each other.

LOL! Actually, I put something called an "Amarillo" (Ameriglo) Spartan Tactical set on my wife's 9c, big orange front with a tritium dot in the middle and wide notch rear with a pair of non-outline tritium dots. I like those for my IDPA and carry guns as well, wide notch and orange during the day, three glowing dots at night...

The trigger on the 9c is not as good as the Shield so I can relate to not being so particular about it. However, they sell sight pushers designed specifically for the 9c and that makes the job of installing a cinch. For CCW I carry my Springfield Mod2 because it has 1 extra round(13 round mag) and it is smaller. For its size the 9C should be able to have 13 instead of 12 which I find a bit disappointing. The Shield is my other favorite carry gun

I have two 9C's. One has a Truglo TFO pactical/tactical set (serrated black rear with TFO front) and the other has a 10-8 rear with an Ameriglo lime-green ProGlo front. I like both set ups. Both draw your full optical attention to the front sight.

My 9c is my EDC, bone stock - no need to mess with it, it's reliable and puts the shots where I aim them.

For my 9c sights I use white dot by Valspar interior/exterior enamel from Home Depot. Holds up well and I can see them.
