Default 40c Problem

I finally got to take my new to me 40c to the range today.
Why did I listen to people when they were fussin about the recoil.

I LIKE THIS GUN, plainly and simply, I just like it. shot Federal red box 180gr FMJ and WWB 165gr FMJ, not as "snappy" as I expected, got back on target with no problem.

Now my problem, I may seek another .40

Congratulations! The 40c is a great little gun. Like you, I have no problems with the recoil at all and follow up shots for me are as quick as anything else outside of a 22. My only issue is with the flat base magazine. With it the gun wants to twist a little in my hand but with the finger rest mag it's not an issue.

Congrats on your 40c! Your title had me nervous for a minute. I just picked up a new 40c. Haven't been to the range yet. I have a 40 to 9mm conversion barrel on the way will be here this week..then off to the range.
Thanks for the good report..I feel better now!

Recommend get the 9mm mags as well as the barrel. different length of rounds can cause some feed problems. OK at range but not for carry. Oh and I love my 40c. What I want is the elusive , no longer in production S&W .357 SIG barrel for the 40c. Was $69 from S&W, $150 from Wolf. Feel cheated to pay more than double for the available Wolf conversion barrel

Got to have a little fun with titles once and again. My 9c is very comfortable to shoot and carry, I just rolled the dice on the .40c after talking to a few people at the range. While itthings up a little does get tiring to handle after shooting for awhile, it not bad at all. I may look at getting a .357 SIG barrel to change things up.

And make sure you get 9mm magazines as the .40 mags will not work well.

Check Brownells and Midway, I believe one of them has .357 barrels in the compact 3.5 inch.

Thanks squekydad,
Back in 2009 I had a 9c, with a terrible trigger and accuracy problems. Couldn't warm up to it so I sold it. I kept my extra 9mm mags and holster. That's partly why bought the 40c. The trigger on the new one is great...can't wait to get to the range.

I've had my 40c for 14 months, and I love it. I've fired over 5000 rounds with only one (1) FTE. It was my first .40 cal., so like many others, I found it a bit "snappy" initially, but not terribly so. With regular practice, it became as accurate and easy to shoot as my excellent SIG P320 Compact 9mm. I like the 40c so much that it has become my EDC, even though I have a nice little Shield.

And don't listen to those people who are fussin' about the 40c being too "big" to carry. It's not.
