Default 2-3 weeks turned 4-5 weeks

Called to check on my 9mm FS warranty status and was informed that turn around is running 4-5 weeks. 2 weeks ago they said 2-3 weeks.

Oh well. I hope it comes back shooting straight. Was sent to factory because I couldn't shoot a 6 inch group at 10yrds with it.

It seems every time there's gun control question that comes up in state or federal government gun sales soar & waiting time for an ordered firearm or customer service increases. If you're anything like me my patience is almost non-existent, LOL.

I'll be alright. Of course I called expecting them to tell me it'd be back in a few days, not a few more weeks...lol

I've heard some positive things about these pistols that come back from warranty service. I really like it and want to keep it, but going from a G19 shooting 2" groups to this shooting 6+ inch groups isn't acceptable. I was about to stick a Wilson Combat match barrel in it when someone mentioned sending it back. So we'll see.

Hope your pistol gets back to you sooner than that. I have one that just arrived at Smith for warranty repair. They did tell me on the pnone, 3-5 weeks. Kinda stinks, but we're at their mercy. Good luck

Thanks! Yeah they told me 2 maybe 3 weeks when I was on the phone. I mean if they would have said 4-6 weeks, I would have sent it anyway. Perhaps they got busy suddenly like someone else said.

Sent my Shield 9mm in for a trigger repair on February 26 and they told me 2-3 weeks.. Mine has been shipped back to me and is due for delivery today.. That comes to 2 1/2 weeks.. Pretty good I'd say...
