Default New M&P Shield

Finally bought a shield 9mm. I own a SD9VE 9mm; Bodyguard 380; and Beretta Nano 9mm. After first trip to range, I think the shield will become my EDC. I like the trigger much better than the other three, and follow-up shots seem to be easier with the shield. It was very accurate from 7yds. but I will try longer distances next trip.

I was surprised by how well I shot the Shield compared to the XD-S I tried (and I owned an XD-S at the time, so I was more familiar with that trigger system). I think you'll enjoy carrying it. It practically disappears.

It's a great gun. Just got back from the range and its accurate at 10 yards, probably more.

What do you think of the Nano? (congrats on the Shield 9; I've got one, too).

Default The Shield is sweet...

Comfortable, good trigger and a great shooter. Nothing to not like.

I like the Nano, but it is picky about the ammo it likes, as it has problems with 115gr.(failure to eject). Have to buy 124 or higher. Trigger pull is a little heavier than the shield. The Nano is also very accurate. The shield and the Nano are almost the same size, with the shield being only about 1/4' longer, but slightly thinner. Both fit in the same holsters. If the shield proves to be as reliable as I think it will I probably won't carry the nano. By the way, manufacture date of the Nano was May of this year, so it's one of the newer ones, still FTE with 115gr.

Thumbs up

Coach,
Congrats on your new Shield ! I love mine .I have had mine several months now and love it !
FYI. Look into Talon grips or the other grip tape. I put them on my Shield and like them so much added them to my Ruger!
Also So far I like my IWB Jel Tech Holster the best ! For 25 $ it is way better then the 50$ holster I bought!
JelTecHolsters – Budget Minded Products
Also the ALien Gear is a nice IWB

coachray, I sold mine for basically the same reason. Also, I bought mine several years ago when they first came out, so still the same problem.
