Default Shields trigger pull length????

Had a Bodyguard but hated the incredibly long trigger pull length. How is the Shield?

I've never tried a BG, but I believe it's a true (revolver style) DAO.
The Shield is a Striker Fire pistol (similar to Glock, XD, etc).
While True DAOs have a long strong pull, Striker Fires have a fraction on an inch of 'Take-Up' (for the trigger safety), a fraction of an inch of actual trigger pull, then another fraction of an inch of Over-Travel.

You really need to find a LGS to feel for yourself.

There's a YouTube video showing the measurements.
Looks like the actual video isn't showing, so Go to YouTube and search "Shield Trigger Pull". It's a video from Robkarrob11

The triggers are night a day different between the two. Actually, the only thing they have in common is at the end of the pull they go bang.

Default Long trigger pull

I have both and there is no comparison. The BG is long and heavy. While there is a little length in the Shield, it is much lighter, has a clean break and a short reset. i've had my Shield for over a year and it is my favorite CCW. Regards, Elliot45

I have the Shield from the Performance Center and if the trigger were any lighter it would be too light. It feels just right for me. I also have the body guard and the trigger is long and heavy. Some like it that way for safety. There is a trigger kit that shortens up the trigger pull. I believe its from Galloway
