Has anybody mounted an optic on the dovetail of their M&P22 Compact? I've seen some on the regular M&P22 but not the compact. Would like to mount something small like an RMR or something cheaper but the same size/weight. I don't know if it's possible for it to cycle properly (mine will be suppressed) and if there is an easy dovetail mod that will make it easy to mount? I love this gun and would love to mount a sight to it, but if it's not easy/cheap I may have to pick up a Ruger 22/45 that has a rail on top.

I've contacted any and every manufacturer of red dot mounts I could find. At this time nobody is or has made one.

You've got space to drill and tap for a mounting plate, it's a hammer gun. You'll want the sight raised a bit anywho to clear the can.

I looked into this when I first picked up my 22 compact and pretty much gave up. If you find a solution, I would love to hear about it.
