Default M&P 9c slide

Hello, I'm not shure if this has been asked before. I have a M&P 9c and wondering if it is normal for the slide to have movement side to side on the frame? The rails on the frame are thin.

No movement, no work.

Besides. the pictures you posted are of the dust cover. The slide rides on the metal pieces on the module that contains the trigger.

Navy23, if a slide is fitted tight enough to the frame that there is no perceptible movement, the slide will be too tight to function properly. A tight slide is not necessarily indicative of accuracy.

In answer to your original question, yes, it is normal to have side to side movement of the slide.
