Default M&P9L C.O.R.E. - cowitness question

I have an M&P9L on the way to my FFL dealer at the moment, kind of an impulse buy for me, jumped in without much research, just saw it for a good price and knew I have wanted a pistol with an optic mounted to it for some time.

I'm not really interested in dropping another $500 or so on a red dot for the gun if I don't have to. Which other optics will cowitness with the factory suppressor height sights other than the Trijicon RMR?

Thanks.

According to Vortex Optics. The Vortex Viper red dot will cowitness with the CORE. The Vortex Venom which is what I have on mine will not. The price of each is the same. The Viper is a 6 MOA and the the Venom is a 3 MOA. Another difference is the Viper battery access is on the bottom of the red dot. And the Venom battery access is on the top

The Leupold Delta Point (not the new pro model) co-witnesses perfectly on a core, and sells for around $300 new if you can find one. The DP Pro will not fit on the core and costs a lot more.

A Fast Fire ll for $180 and you are in with perfect co-witness. That's the best you will get for cheap.

While the II is cheaper, you have to remove it to change the battery. The III has a top load battery.

The Vortex Viper works fine and I think the dot is a little brighter than the FF3.

Little generous on your definition of "1/4". ;-)

Yep, it sure is, Probably lower 1/5 would have been more accurate.

Finally checking back in, after 4 days with no response I got impatient. Ended up ordering a Trijicon RM05G, got a deal on it, so it only cost me $415. I might end up looking into the Vortex Viper since I would not mind having a battery powered sight in addition to the RM05G. I will say, for quick shooting I am very happy with the larger dot. Most likely I will end up picking up a Glock 19 MOS for CCW and put the Trijicon on that and put a battery operated sight on my CORE.
