Slide Bite
I really like carrying this new Bodyguard and also shoot it petty well for a SD pistol but I really don't concentrate on keeping my right hand low I get slide bite very time. I find if I keep my right thumb low on the frame i don't get bitten. Fat hands small grip and I naturally grab it like my other guns. I will either learn or develop enough scar tissue that it won't matter. In case I had to use it in a SD case I wouldn't notice or care but I am shooting 2 mags a day for SD practice.

I never experienced that with my Bodyguard. I have shot hundreds of rounds through it. Sometimes it tosses a casing in my face but I like that weapon a lot.

Yep, happened to me too when I first got mine, due to the way I was gripping the slide when racking it. I've had more than one hickey that either drew blood or left a nice blood blister between my thumb and forefinger. I have since changed my ways and have not gotten bit since.

It is when I am firing it but it bit me bad the first day as I racked it over the top with my support hand and got a whole hunk of meat in the port when it closed. Hmm now that was hard to clear. Manual does say rack it from the back.
I told my friend that runs the range and the gun store that I was going to take the file to the back bottom corners and dehorn her but he said not to.

The small autos are a problem for those of us who learned to shoot 'choking up' on the pistol to reduce the distance of the barrel in relation to the shooter's grip.
Small autos tend to bite a lot of shooters: more often experienced shooters than novices.
You have to 'choke down' to avoid slide bite.
You also have to grip with your thumb down.
Some 1911 shooters like me keep the thumb up on the top of the thumb safety, have trouble changing the grip since the 'thumb on top of the safety' technique translates so well to non 1911's.
It's all in the way the shooter grips the gun.

The Navy taught me how to shoot a 1911 and I learned good enough to get my Expert Medal. I shoot all my pistols as high as I can get on the grip but will have to mod that for the BG. You are right if I stop and place my thump lower there is no bite. That is something I don't want to think about on a quick draw and fire. In that case a slide bite beats getting shot or knifed.
