Default Shield slide and PC shield slide compatibility question

Greetings,

I was looking around and haven't found any info, I have a 9MM shield and was wondering if I came across a Performance Center 9mm slide is it compatible with my shield's lower?

Thank you for your time

I'm not 100% sure but don't see why it won't match, main difference is the ported barrel, slide cuts and sights. I bet all dimensions are still the same.

Shield9mm, so I didn't realize that you could call SW until reading other threads today, so I called and they said theoretically you could but its not guaranteed to work. If anyone has done this I would love to hear your input.

Thank you for your time.

My guess, and it is a guess, is that it would fit just fine. I think the frame widths are the same at .95". Unless there is a difference in the way a PC slide fits onto the frame I think it would work! Hope this helps!

A drill press will work just fine.

Since i see no logical reason why anyone would want a ported slide and a standard barrel.

Some people do it for the coolness factor.

I have a 1.0 Shield 9 and PC Shield 9 and switched the slide and barrel on both and they seem to function fine. However, I didn't shoot them.

Old thread bumped but the slides are interchangeable and will fire.

I have a PC9, and a 40 slide. I don't shoot the 40 much, just have it to have as an option but it works.
