Default Shield mag spring problems

Just about to get a Shield 9mm and was wondering if the magazine spring failure is still an issue. Can anyone tell me if new deliveries of Shields have the same failure?

I picked up a new PC Shield a few months ago, no issues (knock on wood) with the 2 stock mags and the couple add'l factory ones i bought as well. 400+ rounds thru it so far.

I, too, have a new one but have only run 4 different mags (2 supplied and 2 added) through it once. I've loaded and unloaded the mags several times just messing around, and have not noticed any issues.

I have a half dozen or so Shield mags, and zero issues with them. All under a year old.

I have 1 7 round and 4 8 round mags I've used with mine. They are just over 2 years old. No issues with any of them.

Had mine about three days (New PC 9mm, 9/16), first range trip, mag fails. This was a NEW factory mag that I bought separately. The two that came from factory are (knock on wood) still good after about 400rds. I just picked up a Pro Mag also and ran 50 rds through it. So far good on aftermarket mag also!

Can't say about newer products but I've got 1 7rnd and 3 8rnd in regular shooting rotation. 2 of the 8rnd mags are only about 1 year old the others are older. Guesstimating 2+k rounds w/o issues

if you are worried about it - replace them with wolff springs and be done with it.

I had to get S&W send me a new spring for one of the magazines that came new with my 9mm Shield. I was totally shocked when I opened the box and all it had in it was the spring and not a new magazine. It did have instructions on how to put the spring in though. Has anyone noticed that S&W thinks a lot of their Shield magazines?
