Never heard of them till now. Looks like good quality, and a bunch of cool color options to boot.
I'd probably be more interested if I was adding two rounds to my G27 instead of one though.
Scratch that first thought, I just bought a 9mm conversion barrel, so maybe I could justify it since I should be able to swap em back and forth between the 9 and 40 if I wanted. Even though they have them listed separate, I don't know why they'd be different. Gonna sent em an e-mail just to make sure.
Update..
Took them 9 minutes to answer my e-mail. They can be swapped on the 9 and 40 Glock mags, so think I may give them a try.

I just got some yesterday I am very impressed with the quality they are made really well. They sell out fast so you just have to check the site from time to time to catch them in stock.

Well, it does add 2 rounds to the magazine. Is there a more affordable option that does the same thing?
Looks they only work on the 8 rd magazine. I'd really like some type of extension for the 7 rd mag just to give me extra grip space.

Pearce grip extension - $10 an add on base plate that will allow you to get your pinky on the grip with the 7 round mag.
Check: local retailer, Midway, Brownells, Amazon, eBay etc.

I wish they made them for the M&P Compact 9. I could use just a bit more grip length on my compact much more so than on my Shield. The 17 round mags for the Compact are too long for me and I think these would make the Compact grip length perfect.

^^ +1
Most all with the compact pistol are using the finger extension mags just for a full grip. Why not have that space filled with an extra couple rounds
Searching the subject online has shown 5 yrs worth of people making these same comments. I dont understand why something like this isnt out for the regular M&P line at this point.
I have found a couple extension options that work but I would prefer something form fitting like the hyve tech is providing for the shield. Currently using Taylor Freelance 129.5 mm extensions that allows +3 rounds into it and is about the same height as the finger extension mags. Its square and not form fitting though.

Actually, that link is for a 1911 grip enhancer but I Googled and found what you are referring to and its actually less that $6. That looks handy. Now I just need an order big enough to make the shipping worth it.
Pearce Grip Extension S&W M&P Shield 9/40 Black - PG-MPS - 605849700014
But, I'm probably just going to pick up two more 8 round magazines anyway.

Interesting concept, but the description of the Shield mag extenders on the Hyve website is fairly sparse. They appear to work by allowing the factory spring to expand enough to allow two more rounds to be inserted. Apparently no modified springs are needed. My question is, are the original springs strong enough to reliably feed 10 rounds instead of 8?
So far we don't yet have any range reports, and the thread is starting to drift into discussions of other brands. Until I see some Hyve user experiences, I think I'll hold off spending the $27.99 per.

I didn't leave a link, must have been the forum system. If you have Amazon Prime, $10 free 2 day shipping.

The cost is actually higher than a new S&W magazine. Gun Mag Warehouse sells them for $18.99. I would still buy one for my Compact though, if they made them for it.

You can buy 10 round magazines for the Shield for only $21. I have one and it works as well as any of my factory magazines.

I have Hyve +2 extensions (black) on all my 8 rd mags (4). No they are not cheap...but are quality made and perform flawlessly. Never had an issue with them. They fit nicely with the contour of the gun. They add quite a bit of length to the gun so they are my carry mags...my 7 is in the gun with a Stryker Industries +2 EMP. I wrapped all my Hyve's with custom cut grip tape...mainly to help protect them from ejecting from the gun and letting them fall to a hard surface. $30 bucks a piece, but 10 is better than 8. I carry 50 rounds of 147 gr Critical Defense on me.

Magguts makes a kit to turn the flush fit 7 round magazine, into a 9 round magazine and only add a 1/4" length to the mag, which would be just enough to give you purchase of your pinky onto the grip.
This is the way I'm going.
