Default Proud to have M&P's in my growing collection....

Yes I'm sure S&W doesn't need a pat on the back from someone still newer to gun ownership; but I am giving them one here anyway.
In the past 3+ years since I got into this hobby there has been 4 different M&P's in my possession. First was a compact 9 with zero issues. Then added a full size 9, zero issues. Grabbed a compact .22 and even that one has had zero issues and 600+ rounds with perfect function. In a .22lr.
Recently picked up a Shield PC 9, now over 400 rounds and continuing the trend of zero issues. And it has given me a LOT of smiles.

I know some have had trouble with theirs; heck there are some Camrys with trouble yet a majority of owners are satisfied and they sell many thousands each year. So for those SW owners that hit a snag, like anything else work with the manu to get it corrected. And like at least some have done here, post the results of the manu contact and any resolutions which can help others.

I will continue to report here on my successes and enjoyment w/ my various models and if I run into trouble I will lay that out as well. After all I view a forum like this to be a place to learn from, it's sure been helpful to me so far.

Thanks S&W for building the products you do.

I do believe that the people who have had trouble with the M&P are so few. I really believe that even Glock forums have as much if not more complaints about their pistols. I have never had any M&P fail on me as of yet.

Thanks for taking the time to post a positive message. Normally we don't hear about a certain model until someone has a problem w/it. I'm not throwing rocks b/c I've been guilty of this myself.

Yeah not discrediting anyone who has had trouble, just seems lately there's been a barrage of newbies who's first posts/threads are only about concerns and issues.
So figured when someone who is new to S&W (like I was at one point) and hits up this forum, I thought they should continue to read about positive experiences to go along with the negative ones on here.

Life is all about pros and cons

Ranger17----I will echo the other posters here, and praise you for sounding the S&W "Horn" Seems like S&W takes more flack than they deserve on these issues. I have owned
at least one copy of about every other gun maker out there at one time or another and liked all of them. If I could have afforded the option of keeping instead of trading around,
I would still have all of them. I am "old"(80) so don't have the luxury to collect any more,
so I have 2 fire arms now,a 442 and a Shield 9 that I have complete confidence in and carry every day. Even if I could afford more and different brands I would still carry these two gun, ---I like um and trust um. Actually I traded a Glock27 gen 4 into this setup because the Shield 9 is easier to carry and shoot than the Glock.

Funny. I was organizing my collection today and once again admired the way my M&P CORE feels in my hand. Took her to the range and shot it pretty well (for me anyway). It's far from my most expensive gun but one of my favorites.

I only own 2 M&P's so far, and I very much like and enjoy them both!

An M&P 40 pro series with a 4.25" barrel and at least 3K down the pipe and it's 9mm. Shield baby brother with at least 500 though it and not an issue with either. Both are accurate too, the 40 especially.

I buy and sell ongoing but my M&P 9C and .45 Shield are both keepers in my collection.
