I've found several benefits from this product. First being reliability. I have 3 kits. 2 in carry flush magazines that I rotate out and a backup extended mag. I've ran hundreds of rounds through them. No issues whatsoever. I think early problems people were having was simply do to installing them incorrectly. Where the springs meet its opposite of the way you'd think they go. If you purchase, watch YouTube video of install and your golden. The ones I purchased had vague instructions. The second reason would be the extra capacity. Bottom line, in a high stress confrontation your probably going to miss some shots. I've read studies about law enforcement shooting where highly trained shooters often miss 75-85% of their shots. More rounds equals better likelihood of finding your target. 7 or 8 round magazine, potentially missing 75% shots is scary. Maybe one round on target. Something to think about. Lastly and probably the least important to me is that this conversion actually makes magazines easier to load. Which means your thumb isn't going to be sore from day at range if you don't use loader.
