Shield 45 OWB Paddle Holster
So it appears that a lot of holsters for the Shield 9/40 will not work for the Shield 45 as it's slightly wider. I am looking for a OWB non-leather paddle for the Shield 45. Fobus, Blackhawk and Safariland appear to have the Shield 45 in their sizing charts but it appears they may be more suited to another pistol and just happen to fit the Shield 45. I kinda like the Safariland Pro-Fit but seems like 4 sizes fit 255 different guns. Their online sizing chart has me in a 578-183-411 for the Shield 45. Does anyone have this holster for their Shield 45 and if so, how is the fit? Thanks.

I do not have any experience with those you listed. I went with a Comp-tac paddle for my Shield 45, having bought other paddles from them in the past for my 9c and Shield 9.

I've got the same issue. Outside of the higher $ leathers there aren't many holsters that are specifically labeled/made for the shield 45. I found that the bulldog #3 cordura OWB fits it very well if you like the high set on the waist. It will at least give you a quick cheap solution. I'm Still trying to find the Uncle Mikes OWB model # that will fit it as I like those better. A simple *** uncle mikes model #12 holds it fairly well in the small of my back. I'm currently searching for an OWB serpa style paddle that is made for it. If anyone knows of one I'd like to know

I like mine too. Retention system seems to work very well for me.
EDIT: I just realized I was the OP on this. I did get the Safariland and I like it. I bought the model 578-183-411 which their website says fits the Shield 45. I like the retention system.

Running a 2A Holster's Pro-S made specifically for the Shield 45. The belt clip system is way better than a paddle as the holster hugs close to the body and goes on/off without needing to remove your belt.

The model is 578-183-411. I think it was the sub-compact as I think compact/sub-compact is more for barrel length. Check the model number.

Thanks a lot folks. I'm leaning toward that Safariland (I'm thinking the subcompact is the model for the .45) but want to look at the 2A as well. Really appreciate the info

The Standard Bearer Kydex Pancake Holster
I'll try to take a picture and post it up later tonight.
Edit: 2A Holster's Pro-S OWB in Gunmetal Grey in front and Clinger Holster's Stingray IWB behind

ahhh. excellent view. I appreciate that, especially showing it with the gun in. That really helped.

It's a nice snug fit. The black knob just in front of the trigger guard is for tensioning. You can definitely tighten it down but even on the loose setting it won't slip out when inverted. I put blue loctite on it so it won't slip out due to be backed out so far.
