Drifting the performance center Shield rear sight
Going to pick up my Performance Center 9mm Shield and would like to know if anyone has drifted the rear fiber optic sight to sight it in. Wondering if I need to get MGW sight pusher.

I replaced the stock sights on my 9mm Shield with the Truglo TFO. Sight pushers are kind of expensive, but if you are going to be doing a lot of work on sights or sight installations, a high quality sight pusher would be ideal.
I've always used a padded vise, a piece of brass bar stock, and a four ounce ballpeen hammer.

For a min sight adjustment I don't think so but if you plan to change the sights in the future maybe. I've changed the sights on all my M&P's and can say that all are not the same ones are tighter than others. Always used the MGW sight pusher and I'm happy I did it the last you want is to ruin the sights or the slide. I do all the work on my guns from sights to trigger jobs, IMO it is well worth the price.

You should not need to move the sight.

If you're just going to adjust the sights for accuracy, the manual states to use the Front sight for adjusting... not the rear sight. Definitely read the manual before making adjustments.
... As Rastoff wrote, you should not need to adjust the sights.
MOST inaccuracy with the Shield is due to the user needing to make adjustments in their basics, not due to the Shield itself.
If, when you go to accept it at the FFL, you notice that the rear sight is obviously off-center, don't accept it.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll get the MGW shield sight pusher. A new slide is much more than $120 sight pusher. Money well spent....

I have the Performance Center,
Like Rastoff said, you should not need to move the sight. Mine was right on.

get a gun blue pen cause most any movement of the sight causes some marking on its side which disappears with the blue.
