I have an M&P 357 and I like it. I have installed an Apex trigger and that solved the only problem I really had with it. I did have to replace one of the early striker assemblies but S&W sent an apparently upgraded replacement which seems to be fine.
My question is why did they discontinue it?
Is there something basically wrong with it?
Mine has been working fine.
Does anybody have an answer?
Has S&W ever responded to this question?

I am a HUGE fan of the 357SIG cartridge and own many firearms chambered for it.

While the M&P 357 may not be in the catalog or possibly on the website, it is not truly discontinued

They are still being manufactured to fulfill Agency contracts. Agency overruns do show up for sale from time to time.
It is a simple Return on Investment issue. Smith and Wesson's money can be put to more profitable use by keeping other models on the shelf and in the supply chain.
