Which M&P do you have?
Given the traffic on this board it seems that the best seller for S&W by far is the Shield in its various configurations. My question is which M&P did you get - if you've got more than one, which is your newest as the poll will let you have only 1 response.

started with a FS .40 (sold it and replaced it with an XDM 3.8C .45)
went to a Shield 9 and now rotate the shield 9 with a 9C.

Bought an M&P Pro Series 40 with the 4.25" barrel in 2009. Bought a Shield 9mm. back in the summer. Both have been reliable right out of the box. The Pro Series 40 probably has 4K down the pipe.

I've got a FS9 with 1700 rounds down range and my newest addition is the Shield 45.
Also very interested in a Shield 9 or a 9c one day...I'm sure the collection will continue to grow!

Ditto. How are you supposed to vote if you own examples of each?

This poll is biased toward "Shield" since that is the latest model.
So even if you have 6 but bought the .45 Shield LAST, the poll forces "SHIELD"

It would be a simpler, easy poll if you were just asked which one you don't have yet.
That would be the Shield .45 in my case. It's not legal to buy in MA yet.

Depends on what you're trying to measure - I'm interested in your latest purchase, just because the Shield is the newest doesn't mean it was your most recent purchase. Or you went from a 40 to a 9 or 45.
Unfortunately, I can't modify the poll to allow for multiple responses, or delete this and start over again to allow multiple responses, but if someone else wants to post a modified poll that's OK with me.

Yeah, sorry but this poll get a "FAIL!". My last one was a Shield 9mm. I have a FS and Compact (all 9's). Shields were not widely available in CA when I bought the others. I bought mine when local supply improved and before ever increasing restriction on pistols in CA took effect. So, in my case, it had nothing to do with popularity.
Since the Shield .45 is new, it's no wonder there are a lot of posts about it.

First one, full size M&P .45 ACP with safety. Second, full size 9mm no safety. Both equipped with Streamlight TRL-1's. These are intended for home defence use.

What?! No 45fs/45c choice?!!!
My latest is a 45c and I like it a lot.
I'm thinking the next will be a 22c for my wife.

Wife and I have a pair of 40 Compacts. Both shot high and we changed our stock .230 (including dovetail) front sights out for .250's and they are dead on the money now to 50 yards with 180's and on the 24" gong at 100. Great pistols.

My first was a FS 9 back in 2006. I also have a 9c, 45c, Pro 9 5" and a Shield 9.
Had a FS 45 but sold it. Just never really warmed up to it.

I had the M&P 45. Just couldn't bond with it. Acquired a Glock 36. Later bought the M&P 380.

2 9c's & 1 45c....no Shields. Latest M&P was the 45 Compact.
Had 2 and traded them both. My wife traded hers for a Sig P238, and I got a Springfield Range Officer 45 Compact.

The poll is flawed. You can only select 1 of the choices when I own multiple guns on this list.

Only one choice? Okay, well I choose my Shield 40, since it was my first M&P, but I liked it so much I traded off my Glock for a 5" Pro Series to keep by the bed. So that's two.

Just like the #MSM
Like the media & Clinton polls, this one has a Shield slant.
There are many Performance Center & Pro Series owners
on here, yet no choice in poll for us.
Ported PC, CORE, Pro Series all missing.
And W-T-F is with lumping in FS 9mm & .40 S&W together but
separate choices for all 3 Shield options. 9mm, .40 & .45

Had the 9c and then bought the shield. The shield was so much easier to conceal so I sold the 9c to a buddy.

Voted "other" because my favorite isn't there...357c! I have the 9c and 40c as well but just love shooting that 357. I suppose I could add the 45c but I have left 45acp duty to the 1911's so far.

Too bad you can't pick more than one. 5" 9mm C.O.R.E., 2 M&P9C's and a 9mm Shield, planning on picking up a 4.25" soonish, just don't know if I want another C.O.R.E., a Performance Center, a standard model or ?
I love my M&Ps, no other striker fired platform fits my hand better, they do have their issues (stock, non-PC trigger is terrible compared to even my cheap $350 Canik TP9V2) but they look good, and I have never had any serious issue with one.

Funny how..
Funny how the .45 outdistanced the .40.
Yeah, it should have been, check all that apply.

PC Shield 9 a gateway gun for more M&Ps.
Sorry for the long winded reply, but I'm relatively new to the M&P bandwagon. A few years back I got a BG380 for a summer pocket carry that wouldn't pull my shorts down the way my airweight.38 would. I liked it enough. It went bang every time and I felt confident. June this year I wanted the Glock 43. I'm a Glock guy so why not? But after holding it and comparing it to the shield 9, the shield won. I opted for the PC 9 Shield and have zero regrets. The first week I put about 400 ball, thirty Hornady CD and a couple dozen or so misc hollow point that I had laying around through it and it never failed. In fact it made me grin like no other gun has. Then I got a bug up my backside for a full size M&P9. I got distracted with the Detroit trade ins at Buds even though I declared from a pulpit while shaking my first in the air that I'd never own another .40 after my Glock 23 debacle back in the early nineties. I also declared I'd never buy online since I live in a competitive state for gun sales. I subsequently did both. I'm a sucker for marked PD guns and the patina of a well used gun. I added a Storm Lake 9 barrel, a few borrowed 9mags and now a 5 inch PC 9 will arrvive tomorrow. Luckily I also picked up 10 mags at G-a-G when in Dallas a few weeks ago. BTW Thump, had It occurred to me I'd have looked you up. I didn't know you were here and I'm not over there as often.
I haven't really enjoyed shooting for quite some time, but these M&Ps are putting a smile on my face like I haven't had in Years. Better late to the party than never I guess.
