Default Apex Trigger 9mm Shield 1.0 vs 2.0

I ended up with an extra duty trigger Kit for my 2.0 9mm Shield. I wanted to give the extra kit to a friend but he has a 1.0 (Shield 9mm). Apex does have separate part numbers for the same kit between the 1.0 and 2.0.

Does anyone know of there are physical differences or are they judging using the two part numbers to track sales or something similar?

2.0 PN: 100-176
1.0 PN: 100-076

Why not just call APEX and ask. I'm sure they'll be glad to help you.

I agree give Apex a call.

However, the trigger mechanism didn't change that much in the Shields like it did with the larger models so it's hard to say where the improvement came from.

Having said that, Apex did not likely test the 2.0 kit in the 1.0 so it's not likely they will say it's OK.

I’d like to hear what apex says also. With two different numbers they could be different, or be wanting to sell you another kit if you already had an upgraded 1.0 and bought a 2.0 that you’d like to improve upon.
Keep us posted.

As expected apex simply just said no, the 2.0 kit will not work in the 1.0. I did some more research in my own and found that the only difference between the two kits is the sear, which they do sell separately.

Here is a link to the different sears offered, this was before the 2.0 was released so don’t pay attention to the “all current versions” part.

I told my buddy he can still have the spare kit and purchase the correct sear, he ends up with a duty trigger kit at half price. I can’t imagine many people will need up with two kits like I did.
