New M&P 2.0 FDE 5 inch
Just picked this up the other day ($434 shipped from Bud's). Submitted the $50 gift card rebate request, so we'll see how long that takes.
Might be a while before I get to shoot it. What kind of accuracy have folks been getting from this particular model?

What's the deal? I just bought an M&P9 2.0 pm 7/9. How come the dealer didn't mention a rebate to me?

I really like mine. I like the thumb safety as it keeps me from riding the slide stop causing the slide to not hold open after the last shot. Accuracy is so, so. Adequate enough but not on par with my Sig Legion. Price isnt on par either though. Its a great gun.

I'm hoping S&W comes out with a black 5" version. I'd definitely get one to go along with my other 9mm 2.0's.
Got my $50 MasterCard rebate today too.

Nice pistol! It took about a week for smith to let me know they processed my rebate and it’s being sent to me now. Smith said it should take about another week.

That's what I did with mine. Frame plugs are free for the asking from S&W. I've had mine for 9-10 months now. It's a nice gun that is pretty darn accurate. The 2.0 trigger is better than my 1.0 M&P's, but not as nice as the stock triggers in my P320's. So I put an Apex full flat trigger kit in mine. That really brought it around.
Hope you enjoy the gun as much as I do.

Fin, Feather, Fur stores in Ohio had these for $399 plus the $50 rebate. This brought the price to $349! What a steal! I didn't buy one 'cause my wife would kill me!

Awesome!
I bought mine before the rebate hit so I'm SOL on that issue but I can't complain about $429 and free shipping.
Can't really speak to its accuracy as I haven't shot it off of a rest. Shoots very well for me, soft shooting but then if you think a typical 9mm is harsh, turn in your "man card".
450 flawless rounds of all bullet weights. Took some 800gr to the trigger bar, that plus shooting have improved the trigger pull. Don

Wives are easy to get. Guns are not. Many more wives than guns out there. Life is short.

S&W does have a 5" barrel M&P in black, only you have to go with their more expensive Performance Center pistols.
It would be nice if they did have a black version of the regular 2.0 5" M&P.

I've got one in .40 cal and love it. I replaced the loaded chamber indicator out to a NO profile loaded chamber indicator from Apex. The M&P LCI sits on the back of the bullet casing when chambered, and was causing slightly weaker ejection than I wanted, and a bit erratic. Since I put the Apex in it ejects much stronger, and all the spent casings land in the same spot. I've seen the same erratic ejections from you tube vids. I don't think it was just my pistol. The brass would even occasionally hit me in the head, or weakly eject onto my arm. I call the Apex NO profile LCI a must for the 5 inch 2.0's. And now the pistol has the same small hole to look down into like the compacts do for the LCI.

Hi,
Great Price!
I would like the Model without the Decock.

I bought one right after they were first released and love mine. Accuracy is terrific with it even with 115gr ammo which usually shoot a touch low with my other 9's. Mine had a safety but a call to S&W had frame plugs sent to me so the safety could be removed.

I really wanted one in FDE but I figured it would get nasty looking after a few hundred rounds don't know how well it would clean up.

I've got well over 2000 rounds through mine. Shot it again yesterday. Cleans up very well. Looks like new still. The powder stains wipe right off the FDE coating.
