Default Finally got my warranty replacement

Some of you may remember when I sent my M&P to S&W last May because the slide cracked. They called me the first part of June to say they were going to replace the entire pistol. I called a few times and was told that it had to be built. I finally ended up buying a replacement gun (STI Trubor) and kind of figured the replacement would show up when it was ready. I hadn't called in a few months and then I called the middle of December and was told that the pistol was shipped Oct 13th but according to the tracking that it stopped in Memphis on Oct 14th and hadn't moved since. I asked why someone at Fedex or S&W didn't notice that they hadn't gotten deliver confirmation. (crickets on the phone). Well they found the pistol (that's what they said) and had it shipped back to S&W, who then shipped it to my FFL (warranty replacement, but since it was a new gun it had to have a 4473 done on it) I picked it up today, It had night sights which my original didn't (actually it didn't have any sights when I sent it back because I removed them when I installed my red dot. Well this saga is done, the only thing left is to sell it (this isn't a way to get around posting it in classifieds, I'm going to sell it locally). I really have no need for it. I'm trying to decide if I want to do the same fire drill with my Core, it has an identical crack, I'm thinking I'm just going to TIG the crack and get it Ceracoated black, my wife is the only one who shoots it and since she doesn't compete, I've loaded some sub minor ammo for her.

Wow. Such a dilemma. Have you thought about trading up to the 2.0?

I do not understand why it takes so long to replace.

Aargh! That's even worse than my Shield RSA saga. I hope you get a good price for your new M&P.

No, I'm done with using M&P's in competition. This is my replacement (I know, I could have bought 6 M&P's for what it cost, but life is short so I enjoy it )
