Default New owner of s&w 9c and 1st s&w

Went specifically to purchase a revolver, was eyeballing the 638 and the 642 in .38. But a black l number caught my eye, it turned out to be a 9c with no safety, with both mags and back straps . I couldn't resist so I picked it up for $400. Little spot on end of slide where it looks to have been carried , but other than that seems to be ok. Waiting the ol 3 day customary period as I always seem to have to do, but man I sure am excited. First s&w, was always too cheap to buy em. Will customize a little bit most likely, seems that the apex trigger job is the way to go. Maybe a decent set of sights , maybe cerakote in desert camo if the finish is worse than what I remember (it's been a day or 2 already). I hate to customize a gun I just got, seems that s&w really makes a good gun, but I am one that likes to customize as well.

I had a 9c that was perfectly reliable and a good shooter; plus i used full size mags (with an x-grip adapter) for a better for me grip. I ended up moving on from that one to a full size MP, but the 9c was a solid gun with 0 issues, just wasnt exactly what i wanted at the time.

A great CCW pistol. I carry mine all the time. Very nice shooting pistol and accurate too. The only thing I did to mine was "Fluff and Buff" the trigger and fiber optic night sights. One of my favorite guns to shoot.

Apex is the gold standard in aftermarket trigger kits. My 9C has a Apex FSS trigger kit and has the best trigger of all the poly striker fired guns I own. I put the Duty/Carry kit in my Shield 9mm and the enhanced performance aluminum trigger in my Glock 19. I will buy the kit for my Shield 45 when it's introduced next month.
