I am curious if anyone else has had this issue on any handgun or bodyguard 380.

After each range visit, the frame pin at the rear of the frame slowly starts to come out. The pin comes out on the left side (thumb safety side). This only occurs after being fired. After my range visit i clean my gun and have to softly hammer is back into place so it is flush with the frame. I am slightly concerned that i have to hammer my EDC.

Curious if it is a pin or frame issue.

FYI: bought handgun used with low round count. Has been occuring since first range visit. So not sure if problem occured from previous owner messing with the frame or pin

Hickok45 has a couple of YouTube videos on the BG .380 and I remembering him having to struggle with the takedown pin hammering on it at times.

I rented one at the local range and the whole slide came off during shooting when I looked down saw the take down lever on the ground. I Couldn't finish the first magazine.

Bad to know they are having BG problems too. I haven't shot mine enough to have the pin come out. They must be letting all those blind employees put them together too.

I have had no problems with my BG380 except for a magazine spring. I do have the frame pin issue with a SCCY CPX2. SCCY finally installed oversized pins to correct it.

My BG does that also. It is not a range gun, so the round count is only 50 per trip. I just tap it back in.

Mine does the same thing, 500 rounds or so total on the gun and I've had to tap the pin back in twice, great little gun.

There seems to be confusion regarding which "pin" is under discussion. The OP, in the thread title and the text, was describing the rear frame pin (roll pin which holds the metal frame and the plastic grip together), which is drifting out under recoil. NOT the takedown pin/lever.

Never had it happen on mine, but try calling S&W Customer Service and describing the problem. An oversized roll pin (as in the SCCY example) and a simple DIY may be what the doctor ordered.

This happens to my BG380 as well!
After every range session of 50-75 rds. the roll pins begin to "Walk". I just tap them back in! No Biggie. Mine was over 1,200 rds through it! Beautiful little pocket gun and quite accurate!

Thank you all for the responses. I feel better knowing it is a common issue. I love the gun as well and do not mind hammering it down. Bigger issue is i need an m&p 9 or 9c to use as a range/home defense and putting less rounds through my BG
