Default Shield height

So I looked on line at the S&W website and was unable to find where they listed the height of the guns. Saw overall length, barrel length, weight, etc.but not height.

So can any who have a Sheild 9 mm and the new sheild 45 reply with the height of the gun from the bottom of the mag to the top of the rear sight.

Am thinking of getting one of the two ( probably 9mm) for carry & possible IDPA Bug matches, since the new rule book appears to rule out my 9C :-(

Thanks in advance

The Shield 9mm is still legal in BUG. I just checked mine: 4.6". The firearm with the largest magazine inserted must fit in the IDPA gun test box measuring 6 1/2" x 4 5/8" x 1
3/8".

Been reading the new IDPA rules line by line, since they did not bother to mark the changed paragraphs like USAF does. Have not printed out the 2017.2 because it is still full of errors.

Thanks- wish the IDPA rule makers would stop screwing around w/ the rules and only change to make things (like guns) more inclusive instead of newly restrictive.

Thanks again, looks like only the 9 is BuG legal - overall height 4 5/8= 4.62
