So I'm curious, is there any difference in the Performance Center model 10099 and 10099X of the M&P between the LE Version and Civilian models?

My understanding is both are the same other than price difference???

I was going to purchase the LE model which is usually a little cheaper but I found the civilian model below LE price. Just want to make sure I'm not missing out on anything by not getting the LE model.

Thanks for the feedback.... I'm thinking the 10099 model performance center ported CORE has the same same tall sights and they are not night sights. I also have 2 regular m&p 40 that were issued by department so not worried about that extra mag. As long as it's the same gun in quality and parts then I see no advantage in LE.

Just wondering. Some police departments do not allow for the weapon to fire sight the mag removed.

My standard 9 shield WILL fire without the mag in it. It also is the no safety version.

Could that be the difference?

that's a mag safety disconnect doesn't have to do anything with being LE or civil.

Well none the less, it was a great price at almost $40 under LE price and NEW for an M&P performance center pro CORE ported.

Went out and tested the gun at range after installing vortex venom red dot and my TLR-1HL. Maybe it's just me but I didn't notice much difference between ported and non-ported. I had heard the 9mm had very little difference and the .40 was quite noticeable, but I didn't notice that much if any. I have my retired service weapon m&p .40 that I used for 10 years. I'm going to take with me to range along with this one and shoot both to compare. I think maybe to much media hype on this one or it could just be me.

The CORE part I really enjoyed. I had my vortex venom that I borrowed from my glock 17 mos and put it on the m&p and it was great but I definitely need to find a red dot sight that will Co witness to where I can also use my iron sights with it.

My vortex venom is a bit tall for the m&p.

The sku numbers like 151213 MP 40 come with 3 mags and night sights also MP 9 SKU 151213 have 3 mags and night sights , they also have all the updates done like most do now , slide lock beefed up , and L/E get fird a few more rounds at factory . Your gun shop will not have M/P with these SKU .
