M&P 45 holster suggestion....
Hi Guys -
I have a M&P 45 midsize 4" barrel. I am looking for a belt slide or paddle type holster in leather or kydex that will ride high and tight on the belt line and won't break the bank (say around $50). Retention thumb break preferable.
Thx!

I use the Thumbreak Scabbard holster. I have several for different guns. It rides quite high and very tight against the body. No, it's not a custom holster by any means, but I've had several for many years and they still look like new.

Definitely an option. I like Desantis holsters. No need to be custom can't afford those high prices - just need it to be functional. Thanks again.

Anyone have any experience with this holster for my full size M&P 45, 4.5in barrel?
It's coming from Bud's, sometime next week. I won't be using it as an EDC (have my Shield 9mm for that), this is strictly for range and home defense so the holster will only be used at the range.
Thanks in advance for the assist

I have been impressed with Alien Holsters. They have some nice IWB and OWB styles. Prices are reasonable and quality is very good. Plus, you can use on other guns by just buying the shell for $12.

I really like the x-concealment model "C" holsters. They offer them for the full size and compact M&P in 9mm/40S&W. Not sure if they offer anything for the 45.

I carry my Glock 30SF and 45 Shield in the same Glock Factory holster. Works great and costs $10-$15 on the big sale board. Does EXACTLY what you described, tight and high.
