Once my tax return arrives, I am going to be upgrading my 9mm Shield with an Apex kit and some different sights for low light conditions. What tritium or fiber optic sights to y'all recommend? I wouldn't mind a rear sight with a flat front so I could still rack the slide one-handed in an emergency.

I love the sights from Dawson Precision. In fact, I love them so much that I replaced the FO sights on my PC Shield with them. I run a plain black rear and a night sight on the front.

I will have to look at them. Are they tritium, FO, or combination like the TFO?

Check out the Truglo TFX and/or TFX pro. Both FO and tritium, nice and bright, durable and a nice sturdy sight for racking off a belt or solid object.

I haven't tried these myself. I'm hoping someone is willing to be a guinea pig.

I have a set of Dawson sights (FO front/black rear) on a 5" M&P and like them there.

The only set of Tru-Glo TFO sights I've owned had the fiber optic rod come loose. Their TFX sights are supposed to be better.
