Default My New Shield 45 ACP!

Well, I traded the Ruger SR9c and got my new Shield 45! I just can't tell you how good this pistol fits in my hand. I think the new grip is just great and should be on all their pistols. I've got my M&P Pro C.O.R.E. setup just fine with my Burris FF3 and love to shoot it. I can't wait to get the 45 out to the range.

An observation and a question, my new barrel fits really tight in the slide. Is that the same for others? It won't move by itself even after taking the rod/springs out and turning the slide upside down.

The other thing was when loading some Hornady
Personnel Defense rounds, the first round loading into the breech wouldn't go in without re-racking the slide. Again, anyone noticing that?

Lastly, my 45 was soaking in oil. I hadn't seen this before. I know they said that put oil on it to prevent rust and corrosion, but man there was a lot.

Ok, so I'll make a Range report when I have time to get to the range!

Congratulations!
Now all you need is a couple Pearce Pinky Extensions. They add just a smidgen of extra length that IMHO make a very positive improvement.
I had my Shield .45 out today and it ate another 100 trouble free rounds.
Just an FYI, don't take the 7 round magazine apart as it is a BEAR to re-assemble.....

I picked up a PC shield 9mm last weekend it was nearly dripping wet in oil. Some or it was kind of sticky so I cleaned and oiled before shooting.
