On my M&P Shield 9mm, new this year, I noticed a tiny thing at the range that doesn't happen all the time, but has occurred enough that I think it deserves investigation.
At least 1 or 2 times during a range session (about 200-300 rounds), I notice that the first round after reloading with a fresh magazine, the trigger pull seems lighter than normal, to the point that I'm really surprised that the gun fires, even before I get the sights down to the bull. It's like the gun has a very short uptake and hair trigger. It's always just for that first shot of a fresh magazine, but it doesn't happen with EVERY fresh magazine. The issue seems random so far. I use 4 magazines at the range, and I haven't kept track to see if this only happens on one magazine in particular.
So, could this be caused by a poor technique or a dirty gun? Or, is it a sign of something that the factory should look at? Has anyone else experienced this? I did a search of the forums but came up with nothing.
Thanks
