Default Range Results M&P 2.0 with Apex Barrel

I conducted a test of my new M2.0 with the factory barrel and one with the Apex semi gunsmith barrel. I also used my M&P Compact 9 mm with the Apex FSS kit. Lastly I fired my Sig P320 Carry 9mm. I used four types of ammunition. Sig V-Crown 115 g FMJ, Winchester steel case 115 g FMJ, American Eagle 124 g FMJ, and Browning 147g FMJ. I fired 5 round groups taking measurements of the 5 shot group and the best of 3 rounds. I was firing unsupported, two hand stance, so the test is not 100% scientific. I fired at 7 yards and at 25 yards.

M&P 2.0 FS with Apex Barrel
7 Yards Best group was 115g Sig V Crown (2 inch 5 Shot Group) (best 3 shots ½ inch)
25 Yards Best group was 115g Sig V Crown (2 ½ inch 5 Shot Group) (best 3 shots ¾ Inch)

M&P 2.0 FS Factory Barrel
7 Yards Best group was 124g Fed American Eagle (1 ¾ inch 5 shot group) (best 3 shots ½ inch)
25 Yards Best group was 115g Sig V Crown (4 ½ inch 5 shot group) (best 3 shots 1 ¼ inch)

M&P 9mm Compact
7 Yards Best group was 124g Fed American Eagle (1 inch 5 shot group) (best 3 shots ¾ inch)

Sig P 320 Carry 9mm
7 Yards Best group was 147 g Browning (1 inch 5 shot group) (best 3 shots ½ inch)
25 Yards Best group was 115g Sig V Crown (2 ½ inch 5 shot group) (best 3 shots 1 ½ inch)

My conclusions. All the guns fired with phenomenal accuracy. I was most impressed with the M&P Compact. I did not fire it at 25 yards, I am going to follow up with another test. The new M2.0 factory barrel is exceptionally accurate as compared to my old M&P 1.0 that pulled 4 inch groups at 7 yards and up to 8 inches at 25 yards.
The Apex barrel earned its weight at 25 yards, firing unsupported I pulled ¾ inch best three rounds. However, the factory 2.0 barrel still performed at factory 4 inch groups with three best 1 ¼ inches.
Lastly the Apex FSS trigger in my M&P Compact is amazing; feels like my 1911 trigger. As soon as Apex makes one for the M2.0, I will install one.

My m&p core 4" with apex barrel will shoot 10 rounds into 3/4" at 25 yards using my pet load . Will shoot 1.5" or better with basically anything you feed it. When I switch back to stock m&p barrels in both the 4" and the 5" the difference is astonishing. M&p should be ashamed at the accuracy of their stock barrels . I just automatically grab a apex barrel whenever I get a new m&p. In the ransom my m&p 4" with apex barrel is the most consistently accurate 10 round group shooter of all my 9mm pistols.

Roughneck6--great effort and write up, and that is admirable shooting at 25 yards unsupported. I wish I could still see the target clearly to shoot like that. Thanks for sharing.
