Default M&P shield 9 trigger without safe action hinge

Anyone know where to get one? I don't mind the factory trigger pull weight or reset at all, it is actually quite nice. But this stupid hinge needs to go, it's just not reliable for carry as it stands. I hold the pistol with a high grip snug under the beavertail, and keep getting blocked from dry firing by the trigger hinge safety. This is a HUGE issue...I don't want to have to train to hold the trigger at a certain spot. I just did a quick search on google and the only replacement option seems to also have the similar glock style safety hinge. I took a quick look through this forum and haven't seen anyone else complain about this feature, is it just me?

I know there are aftermarket and factory options for glock pistols to put in a trigger without the hinged "safe action" lever. There has to be something for this Shield 9mm!

Nope, sorry. The Apex is the only option thus far.
You're the first I've heard of, although it doesn't mean you're the only one.

Default Aesthetically...

I don't like the way double triggers look. But all the S&W double trigger does is toggle each one a little differently to change the inertia, so that dropping the gun won't cause it to fire. I can't see where it's a problem at all.

Of course if that's the way you feel, Apex triggers are there and should improve other aspects of the trigger function, too.

I have a compact and the hinge smith trigger was biting into my finger after a hundred rounds at the range. I shoot alot...lol Replaced it with the apex trigger and problem solved. I have not seen any non-hinged triggers. I recommend you go with the Glock style apex trigger.

YMMV
