You know, if I were you, I'd wait a while before doing any "upgrades". Run a couple of hundred rounds through the pistol first, get more used to it. And decide if you're really going to keep it.
Guy at the place I bought mine told me, "You'll like it even better with an Apex trigger in it." Well, after shooting it a while, in my opinion it doesn't need an Apex trigger to make it better. The trigger on mine breaks clean with little or no creep. It's light years better than the trigger on my Glock 30S.
The Shield .45 is a relatively inexpensive pistol, which is the main reason I bought mine. It's also accurate right out of the box. Its slim profile makes it easier to conceal than the Glock. But still, I don't buy inexpensive guns just to spend money on 'em to theoretically make 'em "better".
