Default Has anyone has any weak Shield 45 Magazine springs

So i know it sounds weird since both the 9mm and 45 have very stuff magazine springs, but i notice hand cycling the slide using my factory flush mag doesn't always lock the slide back. I ordered extra magazines and there is a notice difference in the stiffness of the springs. Just was curious if anyone has had this issue yet. I shot 200 rounds today using all the magazines with 0 issues. Just hand cycling the factory flush mag only half the time keeps the slide locked back. Only reason i know which one is the factory one is because it has the new style follower. I'm still waiting on my new followers to come in from S&W.

No problems with that here. The springs in my mags are stiffer than the ones on my truck.

Im curious if something has happened inside. Only thing I could imagine is a spring breaking and nesting up.

The 6rd or the 7rd?...or both? You have other mags? Different manufacturer?

Heres ya a vid if you decide to look inside

I haven't taken my 7 rounder 45s apart yet but I did add a Pearce grip to my 6 rnd 45 and it's spring was shorter than the one in the above pic. Has the new notched follower and had a blueish tint to it. All my 9mm Shield mags had the same length spring regardless of capacity.

But if the issue is not locking open on last round I'd look at the follower first, if the spring was weak enough to not bring the flower all the way up it seems you'd have misfeeds.
