Default M&p Shield pc versions and holsters

Hello I have a nice kydex appendix carry holster for a shield 9mm I do not have the gun no more. Now I want another shield. Lol ( me and my wife had one I sold mine and when I did I missed it lol) I am debating on buying a performance center version and might buy it in 45 caliber I know there a little longer gun would the 45 version fit in a 9mm holster or is trigger Gaurd different. I am very torn between buying a 9 mm or the 45 auto in the he performance center version. Anyone have the two not worried about recoil. Just wondering if the 45 would be any better I. This short barrel compared to 9mm in performance. I know 9mm is cheaper to shoot but not really worried on cost. I reload both calibers so I have other guns this mostly will be my ccw thanks for your input.

I love both, the 45 has more felt recoil but still very manageable and the texture grip helps a lot to stay in target. 45 is a tad longer and won't fit on the kydex holster for the 9. Overall I prefer the 45 IMO is more accurate or at least in my experience.

My Shield 45 (non pc version) fits in my Foxx and my Alien Gear Kydex 9mm holster just fine. Not sure if the pc sights would cause a fit problem or not in the sight channel.

Aliens gear is only one side kydex if you have a two side kydex holster like me it won't fit.

"Alien gear is only one side kydex" ... Likewise with the Foxx...I can understand a 2 sided Kydex not fitting........

I had an alien gears, but not any longer now I have a full kydex, the slide on the 45 being longer will reach the end of the holster before the trigger guard.

Ok thanks for the replies. Yeah my holster is a g code Incog aiwb holster for a 9mm shield. Looks like a no go on holster. So any suggestions on what holster you like with your 45 shield.

I also carry the Shield 45 at AIWB in a Foxx Small of the back holster. I have tried numerous AIWB holsters and all but this one was most uncomfortable for all day everyday carry at this position.

I chose the small of the back due to the straight up position of the kydex shell. This holster really spreads out the weight well and is more secure than a single clip narrow AIWB holster.

Take a look at their Small of the back rig...it's really nice for AIWB.....if you are left handed you will need the right handed small of the back and vise versa for right hand draw

Default KYDEX for Shield

My first KYDEX holster was a cheapie for my LCP.I just wanted to see if IWB would work for me...I now have one for the P238 and one for the Shield (all around $25 with shipping on Amazon)
Good retention, and very good feel, I almost forget that its there, I wear it at 4:00 no problem in the car or anytime...
