Default Did I get the right 45 Shield mags?

Hi all,
I took delivery of a 45 ACP Shield two days ago and took it to the range tonight. Both mags say 6 +1, but one has the longer base pad.

Thanks
John

Mine are the same way. Except only the longer one holds 7 rounds. The short one holds 6 despite saying +1.

I haven't disassembled mine to check for sure, but it appears that the magazine body is the same, but the base plate gives the + 1 capacity. If that is true, then one could order the base plate and gain an additional round in the 6 round mag, at less cost than buying a new mag.

It's probably not that simple...I, however, usually am.

That's exactly my thought too.

The spring is longer also. I took mine apart and the 7 rounder has a slightly longer spring.

If I could have ordered mine with two 6 rounders instead of the 7 I would have. I just don't have any use for the 7 rounder.

Give you 20 bucks for it and you can buy you a new one.

I have taken mine apart. The mag body is the same. The 7 round base plate is a pitA to reinstall.

Do the two mags use a different spring.
