Shield 45 trigger
The Lyman gauge came in the mail today, so I did about 8 measurements on my new Shield 45. It consistently measured just over over 4 1/2 pounds. This was my last measurement. I've shot maybe 100 rounds through it, and it has a nice trigger!

You got gifted! Or your gage is off LOL Wow, mine was almost 7lb out of the box which dropped to under 6 1/2 after shooting a hundred rounds and now is under 5 1/2 after putting in the Apex sear.
Congrats on your new Shield and getting one of the best triggers that anyone has mentioned!

Well it measures my Glock 19 which has probably 1000 rounds through it at just above 5 1/2 which is the same my LGS measured it, so it may be the gauge but somehow I doubt it. The trigger feels good. I'll do my Shield 9, which has the Apex sear in it when I get a chance.

I don't have a trigger gauge but my Shield 45 is noticeably lighter than my 2 Shield 9's, Glock 19, Glock 23 and M&P 40C.
Don't know what they did, but it was done right!

Take at least 10 measurements and then press the AVG button. This will give you a more realistic value of the expected trigger pull. It averages the last ten measurements. Since there is a little variation in every trigger, the average is a better representation of what's really going on.

I noticed the same, the trigger pull on my shield 9 with apex duty carry kit is 5.9 lb and it has low round count 300 aprox. My shield 45 out of the box is noticeable lighter than the shield, haven't measured yet cause sold the gauge, but it is definitely lighter.

I ran about 80 rounds through my new .45 Shield today, and used my buddy's trigger pull gauge. We only took three measurements, and they ran around 6 lb 5 oz to 6 lb 10 oz. I actually thought it felt heavier than that. Not quite as crisp as the trigger on my full size M&P, but the full size one has many hundreds of rounds through it, so I expect it to get better.

My Shield .45 was 6 lbs out of the box. I field stripped, cleaned, and lubed it and did a little polishing on the connector. Now it measures 5 lbs 2 ozs.
I still haven't had the chance to shoot it yet, but I'm getting a lot of dry fire practice. The trigger has a very crisp, clean break.
I thought about getting an Apex sear, but that may make the trigger too light for concealed carry. My Shield 9mm is 4½ lbs after I installed the Apex sear, but it started off over 6 lbs and never got lighter on its own.

Do you mean you polished the trigger bar where it hits the sear and striker block? I just polished said trigger bar on my 9 and didn't notice much difference LOL.
I dry fired a Shield 45 today. It is a slight improvement over a stock 9, the PC 45 is a slight improvement over that. I hear good things
