Smile I like Shields

Lots of life changes for me. With all of that, I thought about what pistols I had, and what I was taking to the range to shoot the most.

I had grabbed another 9mm Shield right after the fire, before I knew if anything at all had survived. I had been planning to grab a 45 as well, so both of those were purchased, but both were done before the current rebates.

3 of my pistols were fine. I was most relieved about my original 9mm shield. My FS, and compact 40, had been on the consideration table to be moved out for a few different reasons. Nothing wrong with them at all. They were very good shooters, but I just didn't take them to the range much anymore. I tended to always grab my shield, and 9 compact.

The smaller platforms just fit me the best, and I'm better with them, and find them very fun to shoot. I had sessions with my shield platforms putting 250, to 300 rounds through individual guns. That said, I also really liked my 9C, but it's no longer here, so I moved on. I'll get another later.

I've moved out both of the 40's at this point. I really like the compacts as I've said, but my compact had the worst trigger of all my pistols. I was going to just Apex the snot out of it, but looking at price, and what I could do on trade with the current rebates, I traded it straight up, (after rebate) for a Shield 40.

I traded the FS, for a Performance center 9. After rebate it was a couple hundred.

My original 9, top right is a great shooting pistol, and I've liked it since I put the first rounds through it. The other 4 are all new in the last few weeks. The triggers on the newest 4 are all better than my original by just enough to notice it. The PC, and the 45 are just about dead even on how they feel. Which is to say very nice!

Some custom stuff will get ordered later this year and at least one of these will get a bit tricked out, just cause I want to, and I like shooting them.

I might need a go fund me ammo page.

Nice groups of Shields.

I just ordered a Shield for the remarkable price of $315 minus a mail in rebate of $75. In 9mm.

I had one in the early days, just after the Shield was introduced, but sold it. Now I'm looking forward to getting the new one. 8 rounds in a small package is comforting. Lots of range shooting will be required to ensure it is fully reliable.

The past few weeks have been a real eye-opener for me, Shield-wise.
I ordered one to try out, figuring w/the low prices & rebate it's not much of a loss should I not like it.
Well, turns out I shoot it better than any other semi-auto I've ever owned!
What started as a budget experiment has turned into the Shield replacing all my other nightstand & EDC handguns (just ordered my 3rd 9mm Shield w/night sights & 3mags along w/various holsters, mag carriers, etc).
Color me happy!
