Default S&W M&P9c or Ruger American 9c

Have narrowed it down to these two. Does anyone have any experience with both? Pros and Cons of each? My LGS doesn't have the American as a rental option for the range so testing them both isn't an option.

You really can't go wrong with either. I have a bunch of Smith's and a few more Ruger's. Great guns all around. Funny, you'll settle for one and within a short period the other finds it way in.

I have only two guns: a Ruger Lc9s and M&P 22 Compact. I bought the 22 recently after renting it and the Ruger SR22 at my range. The M&P was fo much better ergonomically that I bought it. I liked the feel so much that decided to evaluate the M&P 9C by renting it and the Ruger American Compact. Once again the M&P won out for its feel in the hand. It and the 22C have an itdtical feel. So mu plinking keeps me on a gun that has the same feel in the hand as my 9C. I have only had the 9C for a week, but once I get it broken in It will be my ESC carry gun and the Lc9s will be sold.

If you can rent the two guns and shoot them it will tell you which to buy.
