Shield holster w/Velcro back

Looking for a holster for a Shield 9mm that has Velcro backing. I'm looking to use this with a backpack.

Any suggestions?

Can't think of any off the top of my head, but I am sure someone makes one. I wouldn't depend on just Velcro to secure my holster / gun though. It can, and does work loose, especially with something that sticks out some, and is subject to rubbing against things.

There are models I have seen that are designed to thread thru and attach to the packs carry straps / waist strap that are a lot more secure. When I did a lot of backpacking, I used a wide slot pancake type holster on my packs waist belt.

The backpack I have is a concealed carry pack. It has a small compartment specifically made and shaped for a small handgun holster. Normally I would not carry off body but this is for hiking.

Maybe give the packs manufacturer a call, and ask what brand / model holster they recommend for your pack? Maybe a nylon holster like an Uncle Mikes, with a Velcro patch sewn on that would match with the Velcro patch in your packs gun pouch?

Hook and loop products (original patent and trademarked Velcro, I believe) were designed to have high vertical shear strength with low horizontal shear strength. When used properly with these design parameters in mind, it is an excellent fastener.

I now understand the OP is referring to positioning a holster inside a pocket, and hook and loop will work perfectly for that.

As mentioned, just attaching it (or anything else) to the outside of a pack with hook and loop will likely lead to a loss of that item through horizontal separation forces.
