Default M&P 2.0 9mm feeding problems

Just purchased the 5" in FDE. Ran 150 rds through it with ammo off the shelf. Used the magazines which came with the pistol and some others which i had for my 1.0. I had 8-10 failure to feeds. The round would get stuck at ~45 deg angle. Anyone else experience same issue. Never had that problem with my 1.0.

I haven't had any issues with my m2.0 mine is 4.25" 9mm I have around 230+ rounds through mine so far without hiccups I ran winchester white box blazer brass winchester pdx1 and some reloads so far only thing I have run into which I dont think is really an issue is sear deactivation lever if I push all way down slide catches a little during dissembling I can ease up on it or pull trigger and slide comes right off that's only thing I have had with mine. I hope you get yours figured out. What kind of ammo you running? Did you do a thorough cleaning and lube before firing. I don't no if I being excessive but I cleaned mine after first 50 then Again at 100 rounds then at 200 rounds. All same range sitting. I like keeping my guns cleaned lol anyway hope you get yours running smoothly. I absolutely love mine so far it's my new favorite.

I'm using PMC ammo. I installed Apex trigger kit but wouldn't think that would affect the extraction or feeding. I'll break it down and do thorough inspection. may need some polishing.

Just my opinion. Put all the stock parts back and try again If it does the same thing, send it back. If not, swap back parts one at a time. I agree the it's very doubtful trigger parts caused the issue, but I've seen stranger things. 1911s, I don't expect to run 100% from the factory, if they aren't custom builds, everything else gets sent back if it doesn't.

I just bouht the exact same model 5 inch fde. Having the exact same problem. Feeding issues, round stuck partialy in the chamber at a 45 degree angle. Tried Blazer, American eagle, umc all 115 grn round nose fmj. All jammed at least once with every magazine. The only ammo that I was able to get to feed ok was umc 115 jhp. Did you find anything to fix the issue? I'm hoping a few hundred more rounds through it will solve the issue.

Try a box of +P

I would like to know if it is to tight of a handgun and needs a little hotter load to kind of loosen it up.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try the +p soon to see what happens. I borrowed a friends m&p pro and compared the feed ramps. The 2.0 is much wider and longer than the 1.0. Anyone try any aftermarket barrels in the 2.0?

I've had my 2.0 5inch 9mm for 2 months and 500+ rounds. No malfunctions. Using Winchester white box FMJ and JHP 115grain, and Remington FMJ and JHP 115grain.

I have the 5" FDE, shot approx 2500 rounds through it with just 1 malfunction that came near the end of a training day. No further issues the remainder of the day so it may have been caused by me.

Finally got back to the range. No feed issues this time using any fmj round nose . Don't know what changed beside another cleaning and maybe breaking it in. Just glad the issue seems to be gone.

Probably the combination a tight recoil spring & it being a long slide 5 inch barrel. I just bought the 5 inch 9mm last Friday & after I cleaned it I left the slude locked back, so it was compressing the spring, until I went to the range on Sunday. I shot 300 rounds with 0 malfunctions. The 1st 100 rounds I fired were 147 grain Winchester Train. The following 200 rounds were Freedom munitions 115 grain. I can say there is a considerable difference in felt recoil between the 147 grain & the 115. To me, it really did feel like the gun was barely cycling the 115 grain
