Default One more Bodyguard range report

Picked this one up yesterday and did some dry firing last night with snap caps. Had no problems keeping the BG steady and on target so, off to the range I went this morning. Shot 50 rounds of each, WWB, Federal along with 18 rounds of Ruger ARX. I'm happy to report that every round went bang on the first trigger pull.

The target was from 25 feet shooting my 3rd and 4th mag. I found it best, and most accurate, to get on target and pull the trigger through without hesitation.

There's nothing I didn't like about the BG, including the trigger pull, it was exactly as I expected it to be and prefer for pocket carry.

The thumb safety, although a bit tough to engage, was very easy to disengage with a quick swipe of my thumb.

About the only thing I might do is polish the corners and the face of the trigger to smooth it out a bit for comfort.

Shot my B.G. today and after about 30 rds. the slide would not lock open and mag would not eject without some help. Found no problems with other mag. after about 40 more shots. Later found the first mag. was showing signs of binding on the back and right side. Will know tomorrow if my fix worked'

I found both my mags had a slight catch on the release tab about halfway in but now, after the first range visit, they're much better. I did find one thing that could be improved, the takedown lever. I think S&W should have used a pin like Ruger uses in the LCP.

Save yourself some problems by depressing the magazine release button when inserting the magazine. If you don't do that the sharp edges of the magazine will wear the plastic magazine release totally out. I love my little pistol and it has a perfect record but I realized when I got it that I should not force the magazine in without first depressing the magazine release.

Decided to fix the mags today. Using a swiss file I put a radius on the corner of the mag and then gave it a quick touch on my buffer. No more catching on the mag release when inserting them.

Here you can see exactly where the mag catches.

Mag on right is done. Mag on the left is not done for comparison.
