Default New M&P Shield .45

New Shield .45. On sale Cabelas last week. Military discount, $200 off in saved up Cabelas gift cards, another $20 off from Cabelas bucks got in mail and $75 Smith rebate. Final price $80.00.

My first .45, and nice addition to my Ported PC 9 long, 9c and 9 Shield.

Shot it yesterday after Coyote hunting yesterday up in the hills. No paper shooting just 50 rounds of herters 230 gr and 20 Hornady 200 gr XTP Hollow points. Flawless!

Will punch holes on paper next weekend to check groups. But did hit every can, did setup a nice size slab from the clear cut loggers always leave around and hit center real nice. Love it.

And you currently get double Cabelas points. What's not to like?

Glad you like it. I have the Shield 9 and the Shield 45 and love them both.

The 45 shoots much softer than I expected!

Yes, I was very surprised how little recoil there was. I was expecting more, very to managable, maybe I bit more flip than my friends Colt 1911, but not enough to make any real differance. A joy to shoot IMO.

I too was pleasantly surprised by the amount of recoil. It's a small lightweight 45 for crying out loud.

I went down to the court house today, to pick up a marriage license,
i`m going to marrie my 45 shield. She`s a keeper...lol

I`m so impressed with this 45... talk about shock, soft recoil, accurate, concealment.
Whats not to like about it... and the sale & rebate prices, thats just icing on the cake.

Congrats on the new Shield. 45, and the good deal.
Took the plunge today, and will be my first .45 as well.
Not a $80 deal, but at $242 after rebate, I'm quite happy.

Apples to apples my man.

If you factor in 200 bucks in gift cards then your at 42 dollars

Ive had my Shield Since Sept, Real good shooter. Put in the safe for a few months and carried my G23/27 for mag capacity.
Shot my Shield 45 today, Dam gun is laser accurate, and 100% reliable. Soft shooting gun even with the +P Federal HST and Winchester SXT. Other than the limited magazine capacity I really really like this gun, It being so accurate makes me feel a bit better about the low round count.
I guess 8 rounds plus a spare magazine should suffice, I'd like to see Magguts come up with a magazine that adds an extra round.
Be that as it may, My Shield 45 hopefully will be my carry piece going forward.

Picked mine up from my local FFL today. Bought it from PSA and was just waiting to have some time to pick it up. Hopefully I'll get a chance to put some rounds through it in the next few weeks.

Shot 100 rounds of GD and HST through my 45 today without issue. God, this thing shoots nicely. Recoil not at all what I expected. It's definitely a keeper.

I could not pass up the price on the Shield .45 at PSA. Picked up mine yesterday. One thing for sure, its not a mouse gun. I thought I could get away with using the holster and mag holder for my 9mm Shield but the .45 is too big. Looking forward to putting some rounds down range soon.

Definitely not a small gun by any means. I had compared one to my Glock 19 and they were very similar in size when it came to the overall length and height. Obviously the Shield was a bit thinner and in a different caliber with less capacity. At the time I had talked myself out of getting the Shield and if it wasn't for the fact that they are practically giving them away these days I likely wouldn't have gotten one.

But, now that I have one I'm sure it will work it's way into the carry rotation once it proves itself.
