Default Talon grips.

Ok, folks, how good are the Talon grips? Do they make a noticeable difference in anything? If so, which grips do you recommend, and why? Thanks in advance!

Talon grips work great. If you have a Shield 9/40 they are almost a must. I don't think I need them for my 45. Make sure you follow the application instructions or they won't last.

on what gun? They work fine if installed properly, but I prefer the hogue beavertail grip on my shield and hogue handall on my full size 9.

I have Talon grips on all of my Glocks and love them. I prefer the rubber ones myself. Need to get a set for my VP9 but they haven't been in stock locally so I need to order a set.

I love mine. Have a set of the rubber ones on my Shield and Ruger SR9.. I hear the sandpaper ones can snag on your cloths

I was sent the sandpaper Talons by mistake. Kept them. Were too rough on clothes but I liked the grip texture. Per instructions, used 100 grit sandpaper to knock off some grit.
Rubber Talons on my Ruger SR9 and sandpaper on my Shield. Like them both. [/I]

1. Excellent
2. They make a tremendous difference
3. Hogue...Handall, Handall Jr. and Beavertails
4. Cause Im old

My boys love Talon sandpaper. Momma and myself prefer nice soft Hogue's with finger notches. Momma even likes a piece of 1/16 self-adhesive foam under hers. Cushy!!!

Its a personal preference that only you can determine.

I have talon grips on two of my guns... I love the rubber texture, but they were a very poor fit, had to trim them quite a bit... I emailed the company and Trent said that they were wavy on purpose... but I disagree, after trimming them they are fine

Excellent for competition but for CC, no way. UNLESS you use a small strip on the front grip.

BTW, you all know this is just skate board tape right?

I use the rubber ones for concealed carry and they are just fine.

I have the rubberized Talon grips on all my tupperware guns, and they work great. The Hogue Handall actually feels better on my Shield 9, but it increased the width of the grip more than 50%, so I ended up taking it off and putting the Talon grips on.

All, the poly framed pistols in my collection wear rubber Talon grips. For me, they make a huge difference in the grip of the gun to my hand. I believe they especially make a difference in rapid fire/double tapping.

I bought some rubber talon type grips yesterday called tractiongrips. I wanted talons but none available for my .45.
I love the grip texture but it gets abrasive as an edc.
Ill be interested to see the quality when they show up.

I use rubber textured Talons on my smaller polymer pistols and they make a big difference in my ability to maintain a good grip on them.

I have them on all my plastic pistols, and prefer the rubber ones. They really improve the grip on the postol, without adding any bulk. Just follow the instructions, and they should stay put. I have some Traction Grips, too, and can't tell any difference between the two.
