Default M&P Gen 3 Slide Stop - In Stock

If anyone is interested, Brownell's has the M&P 9/40/357 Gen3 slide stop in stock. I just received 2 of them yesterday, and they are indeed the new current version Gen 3.

M&P SLIDE STOP ASSEMBLY, GEN 3 | Brownells

So why would I want to put them on 2 of my 10 year old M&P 9c's that still work perfectly?

because newer slide stop assembly has a notch that improves the trigger reset.

Excuse my ignorance, but I don't see how a mechanical slide stop can improve trigger reset on a stock M&P. Both of my 9c's have all Apex parts and I am satisfied with the reset, even though I don't feel that is very important in a carry pistol designed for self defense. Might be more of an issue in a target pistol.

Anyone have photos of a stock SS next to the "improved" version?

Always learning...the bump pushes the trigger bar over and increase the feel of the reset click?

I took slide off and cycled the trigger, that's the way it looks. My PC 9L has some of the bump filed down , maybe part of the PC package?

I only took the slide off and from what I could see on my PC 9l it has no bump there at all...of course it had almost no perceptible reset, before I apex'd it either.

You're lucky. I got mine just before Christmas. I checked out a few at different LGS. None of them had much of a reset. I ordered mine from Buds and it had the least of all of them. The Apex Ram fixed it...and now the full kit, I love it.

Is the hump subtle? My pistol is a little dirty and can't really tell if it has the Gen 3 version. My pistol's spent case date is 2/14. Is it likely to have the Gen 3 slide stop?
