Default M&P 2.0 9mm

I have taken apart the FCU (not the first time) and have a part that I have not seen before. I have been all over the internet and YouTube videos to no avail. I believe it is related to either the Take Down Housing or the Slide Stop but can't figure out how or where it fits.

Hoping somebody can help out

Thanks

Mystery solved: Piece fits into the left side of the Sear Housing and acts as a stop for the Safety.

After spending a week looking for the answer I thought i was going crazy. Decided to start over again and look at all parts for missing items.

^^Beat me to it....
I don't have that pistol but I believe it to be the thumb safety block to hold it up or down. It would be located next to the sear.
