Thanks to everyone's advice, counsel and opinions on the forum, I have a new Shield .45 on the way to my FFL. I can't wait to get it and put some rounds downrange. S/F.

Congratulations. You'll have to let me know how it shoots. The way my schedule has been lately I don't know when I'll get a chance to take mine out to the range.

Congrats on your purchase.
I picked one up yesterday. I'm fortunate to have deguns.net in Lincoln, NE which is about 40 minutes away. They price matched a lower price that I found on the internet. I haven't shot it yet, but I think I'm gonna like it. I have several small 9mms, so I went with the 45. My only other 45acp are full size 1911s (not counting my model 25 revolver).

I picked up one last week and put 200 rounds through it. I was very impressed. Really enjoyed shooting it. You'll love it.

Congrats! Man you will love it, I took mines out last Friday put about a little over 200 rds through it with some Underwood 230 gr and some Federal 230 gr and not a hiccup, I have now Underwood 185 gr xtp in it now.
The guy at Underwood said that it's best for the short barrel and another one is the 185 xtp and 200 GD which I will be ordering it soon.
