Default M&P 2.0 45 holster fit

Thought someone might have some info about holster fit with the new 2.0. Just ordered a full size M&P in 45acp. I watched the video on the S&W web site on it & think they mentioned the slide being a bit thinner on the 2.0. I'll find out soon enough, just looking for a heads up

Default I would like to know as well

I'm here to ask the same question. From what I understand the M1.0 had a 4.5 in barrel and the M2.0 has a 4.6 in barrel. Does this mean the new M2.0 45 wont fit holsters made/designed for the M1.0 version. Any ideas?

The dimensions are really very close between the two. The barrel may extend past the frame that extra bit and won't be a factor.

If you have a Kydex holster and it needs adjustment you can use a heat gun or a hairdryer to remold an area. If it's a leather holster you can adjust by wetting the area inside and remold. Not really hard at all.

Default Duty Holster???????

Anyone use a 2.0 45 for duty yet? If so what duty holster are you using. Will the first generation 45 duty holsters work for the new M2.0? Called up safariland and they were no help. They couldn't tell me if the 1st generation holster would fit or not and said they currently did not make one specifically for the M2.0.

I have a 45 m2.0 with thumb safety, and it fits my Safariland ALS 6378 perfectly.

Picked up a 2.0 45 (thumb safety) maybe 2 months ago. Interestingly enough most all the popular holster models state doesn't work with 2.0 (still). It does fit in my bladetech (evolution I think) I bought for my original M&P 9 Pro but its a bit tight even adjusted. I still have the original blade tech holster that came in the original M&P 9 full size kit (gun, holster, mag carrier) from when they first came out 10+ years ago. Its just marked Blade Tech 200 and has the S&W M&P logo. Just a tad tight but it fits the M&P 45 2.0 like a glove and I don't mind tweaking this holster to loosen it up. I actually used it to shoot a couple stages of steel challenge today and no complaints. I do also have a streamlight TLR-2 HLG I'm using on it, at times, but if I want a holster for that it looks like right now the only choice is a custom Kydex.

Default Refresh of this Thread

I am wanting to purchase an M&P 2.0 .45, but am still having trouble finding a Level I or Level II duty holster to fit. Safariland still states, the original M&P .45 holster "might" work. Can't find any brand that actually states it will fit. I cannot believe that no one makes a Duty holster for it when S&W touts it as a great Law Enforcement tool.
