Default Apex'd Shield vs Apex'd PC shield

Hello all,

My question today... Let's say you have a standard M&P Shield 9mm with the full Apex trigger kit, and you also have a PC Shield 9mm with the same full Apex trigger kit... would both guns have the exact same trigger pull and feel? or would the PC Shield still have additional benefits to the trigger?

IF they're exactly the same, then whenever I see a PC shield with aftermarket barrel, full Apex trigger kit, and a new set of sights, then wouldn't purchasing the PC version be a complete waste of money?

Thanks for your input!

I'd imagine the triggers would be identical. Not sure why you'd replace the barrel in the PC...

Can't see why they'd be different if you've installed the same.trigger in each.

Replace the barrel if you don't want ports

I've got the PC, but put the Apex trigger in it because I didn't like the hinged trigger. The sear, etc. are original PC

Don't think the trigger pull would be exactly the same-- I've heard of variation on trigger pull weights for full Apex kits.

Did the trigger alone make noticeable improvements to the characteristics?

All I have to compare is a standard Shield + Apex sear, and a stock PC Shield. I like both, in their own ways.

I have the apex duty carry kit installed on my FS 45, 9c, shield9 and shield45 they all have a 5lb trigger pull exactly as stated by apex.

Also have the apex enhanced trigger on my FS45 and 9c it reduces over travel and reset I love it.

Oh, well in that case, I take it back. I've seen reports at 4lbs 11oz for example. My Shield with Apex Sear is at a very nice 5lbs 3.2oz.

As far as the enhanced trigger, The PC has that over the the Apex Sear'd Shield... I feel it wouldn't be necessary and I may be better off buying ammo lol but I can't help but consider it.

I haven't shot a full Apex gun but I think the trigger is a significant improvement.

Mind elaborating? I too have a PC (currently stock) but eventually see myself considering the Apex trigger just because. I don't think it makes sense for me to try the APEX SEAR and USB since I might as well have went with another standard Shield lol.

For example, I'm not sure which component would cause it, but the PC version has a clean reset, my Apex Sear'd Shield still has the false reset.

The trigger was way better than the basic Shield. The sights were ok as well. Issue was the store had one PC Shield with a great trigger and the two other Shield's triggers sucked. The purchase was made prior to me knowing about Apex....I was always a Glock guy. I have the PC Shield with the true precision barrel.
