Default .45 shield Back slide plate

Has anyone tried to replace the slide back plate on their .45 shield? I have tried, but can't get the slide plate to come off like the other shield back plates. Its like it was glued into place. Any Suggestions would help....Thanks.

It will be easier if you release the tension from the striker, that's how it should be removed.

I got the plate off, but I have noticed that the new slide plate does not fit. It seems that the slide plate is different then the replacement one from NDZ. Anyone else notice this also?
